  • Condition: Overall very solid construction and paint is fairly intact. Both have the Gecevo metal inserted mark. Two condition issues; a small crack likely caused by the hook (still tight) to connect the Horses to the cannon and one of the munitions wagon red wheels has a few cracks, but the wheel is still very intact. Please see photos.

    Description

    Vintage 1930s-1940s Gecevo Horse Drawn Cannon and Munitions Wagon
    - Ultra Rare from  Germany - Includes all 6 cannon shells. The  cannon is spring loaded and actually fires!  Overall Length is over 12" Long, 3.5 Wide and 2.5" Tall. Both items have the Gecevo metal "roundel" or round metal inserted mark.
    Note:
    We have never seen another example of a Gecevo munitions wagon with a working cannon.
    Condition:
    Overall very solid construction and paint is fairly intact.   Two items to report condition wise, a small crack likely caused by the hook to connect the Horses to the cannon. The hook still appears very tight. One of the munitions wagon wheels has a few cracks, but the wheel is still very intact. Please see photos.
    Other Information:
    Gecevo of Germany (later known as Verhofa) made wooden animal and vehicle pull-toys. Many can be mistaken for LEGO to the untrained eye as may companies copied the popular items. Gecevo was an abbreviation of the founder’s name, Georg Christoph Vogel.
