    Description

Offered for sale is one set of the original (Not the startup that was recently around for a few years.) Eastern Airlines stainless steel silverware. The set includes one knife, one fork, and one spoon.  The set was manufactured by THC.  The airline's logo is on the top of the spoon and fork. It is on both sides of the handle of the knife. I think this was a short lived pattern and these striped handled pieces are hard to find.  Please contact me with any questions.
Eastern Airlines commenced service in 1926. In its early years, it was headed by World War I flying ace Eddie Rickenbacker.  As a result of financial problems and high fuel prices Eastern filed for bankruptcy protection in March of 1989 and ceased operations on January 19, 1991.
Items will be shipped via first class mail to US addresses only.  Multiple purchases will result in a much lower shipping cost per set.  With multiple sets, don't pay immediately, let me send you an invoice as shipping will be a little more than the .45 which is for only one set.
NOTE:  As the seller and buyer both agree that the US Postal Service is an acceptable means of shipment, should the shipment be lost by the Postal Service, the seller and buyer will split the loss, resulting in 50% of the total payment to be refunded to the buyer by the seller. With hundreds of sales I have never had a shipment lost by the USPS, but just in case.  Also, the amount charged for shipping is always more than the cost charged by the USPS.  That is because eBay charges 13.5% on any money collected for shipping.  For example, a .00 shipping charge to the buyer results in the seller netting .32.
